The New Mexico State Lottery
Run by the state’s government, the New Mexico Lottery is another US draw that is part of the Multi-State Lottery Association. Several different games are managed under this organisation, including Mega Millions, Powerball, Pick 3 and Roadrunner Cash.
The record for the largest prize won in New Mexico was in 2008 for the Powerball draw. It was a ticket worth for a staggered payment $206.9 million or a $102.9 million cash prize.
The New Mexico Lottery was created in 1995 after the New Mexico Lottery Act was successfully passed in July 1995. It became the 35th lottery in the US. In accordance with the Act, 100% of Lottery proceeds go to the Lottery Tuition Fund.
