The Nebraska State Lottery
The Nebraska Lottery is run by the state’s government and has been in operation since 1993, when its authorisation was approved by voters. It became the USA’s 37th lottery and caters for a series of different games as part of the states gaming obligations. They include Mega Millions, Powerball, Pick 3, Pick 5, 2By2, with the Lottery selling $1, $2, $3, $5, $10, $15, and $20 Scratch tickets additionally.
Proceeds from the Nebraska Lottery are given to education causes in the state, as it stands around 44.5 per cent of the proceeds are given to such beneficiaries with most divided between currently divided between the Education Innovation Fund and Nebraska Opportunity Grant Fund.
2013 has been very successful in terms of revenue for the Nebraska Lottery. Strong ticket sales and a record Powerball jackpot run saw the greatest funding for the Nebraska Lottery’s beneficiaries since its establishment. A total of $11,106,535, from Scratch and Lotto ticket sales was raised in just three months from April to June.
A total of $489,500,017 has been raised since the Nebraska Lottery began operation on September 1993.
